Your relationship data is too personal to trust with anyone else.

We built Kinship so you'd never have to.

Most tools make privacy promises. We made privacy decisions — architectural ones that can't be undone by a policy change, a board decision, or an acquisition. Here's exactly what that means.

What We Promise — and Why It's Structural, Not Just Policy

Your data is never sold.

Not now. Not if we grow. Not if the company changes hands. Your contact data, your notes, your relationship history — none of it is sold, licensed, or traded to third parties. This isn’t a promise we’ll "revisit as we scale." It’s why we exist.

Your employer cannot access your data.

Kinship is an individual product. There is no employer dashboard, no B2B license that unlocks your personal account, no admin view that shows your employer what you’ve logged. The system is built for you — not for the organization you happen to work for.

Read-only integrations, always.

When you connect Gmail, Outlook, or your calendar, Kinship reads — it never writes. It doesn’t send emails on your behalf. It doesn’t modify your calendar. Your integrations are one-way, and you can revoke them anytime.

AI tells you what it sees.

Your raw notes and any AI-generated insights are stored separately. You can read, edit, and delete each independently. If you want to log something and ensure AI never processes it, you can. AI features can be disabled entirely — Kinship works without them.

You own your data. Full stop.

Export everything, anytime. Delete your account and your data with it. No lock-in, no "we’ll hold your data for 30 days before deletion," no asking nicely. We built the export path because we believe you should never feel trapped here.

No ad targeting. Ever.

There are no ad networks in Kinship. There are no tracking pixels designed to follow you across the web. Your use of Kinship is not sold to advertisers. We don’t build advertising profiles.

How AI Works in Kinship

AI is opt-in, separable, and disableable.

Kinship uses AI to help you surface relationship patterns and remember what matters. Here's how it's designed:

  • Separation by design.

Your raw notes (what you actually wrote) and AI-generated insights (patterns, reminders, summaries) are stored in separate data structures. You can see and edit both independently.

  • Opt-in, not default.

AI features are available when you want them. They are not running in the background by default.

  • Disableable entirely.

AI features can be disabled entirely if you prefer to keep your data fully offline from any AI processing. Kinship works without them.
